>> Bomani Armah is a consummate artist in performance circles around town. He’ll be at the Everlasting Life Restaurant and Lounge in Capitol Heights for a show also featuring Karega Bailey and DJ D’Salaam. $10 in advance.

Saturday:
>> Jean Baylor (pictured) first broke out as one-half of Zhane in the ’90s. Now a solo artist, she’s touring as a part of the “Urban Inspire” tour. She and Leon Timbo at the Busboys and Poets in Hyattsville. $20 in advance / $25 at the door. 9:30 p.m.
